With only a month away of the winter solstice when the days begin to grow, the Flower of Life Mandala Workshop will help you set intentions for the approaching new year.
The shortest day and longest night of the year inspire mystical celebrations in anticipation of the sun’s return. Not surprisingly, so many cultures celebrate their holidays on the winter solstice: Blue Christmas (western Christianity), Winter Solstice Festival (East Asia), Hanukkah (Jewish festival of lights, starting on December 22 in 2019), Kolyada (Slavic), Shab-e Yalda (Iran), Yuletide (Anglo-Saxon), the Light of Arthur (Welsh), and many others.
We will plant the Seed of Life in the centre of the paper and begin to grow it into the Flower of Life, which becomes bigger, expanding outward like the light of the rising sun.
The Flower of Life (Seed of Life) symbol is known through centuries and through cultures. From Egypt, to India, to Renaissance Italy, to the modern day, this symbol, which is considered sacred, has captured the minds and imaginations of sages, saints and even scientists who tried to unlock the meaning contained within.
In the first part of the workshop, you will be introduced to the sacred geometry of the Flower of Life, mandala and Neurographica – an art-based self-transformative method.
We will learn the stages and create one of the most powerful patterns in sacred geometry – The Flower of Life. Option: a template will be offered to help with drawing.
Finally, we will overlay the sketch with our own neurographic lines that will strengthen our connection with the drawing. Thus, the drawing will become very personal for everyone, as it will carry the unique imprint of your subconscious mind. In this manner, the thoughts that may haven’t been revealed to you from the depth of your essence, will be superimposed on the sketch and thus sent to the universe as a coded message.
No artistic ability or experience is necessary. Alina will gently guide you through step-by-step process of creating your own mandala, the mandala of your intentions for the new year. After competing the workshop, you will take home your own mandala.
What to expect:
You will be introduced to the basics of Neurographica that you will then be able to apply to positively affect your life.
You will create a unique and meaningful drawing that you will take home with you.
Materials will be supplied, but if you have, you may bring your own fine markers/liners and colouring pencils.
